Rockhopper Penguin

Rockhopper Penguins are small, crested penguins.  They are given that name because they hop from rock to rock in a really cute way.  They live in the sub-Antarctic.

Did you know?

l       They are the smallest penguins but most widespread ones in the world.

l       Rockies have a very loud cry called 'ecstatic vocalization', to attract mate.

l       They shake their head so that their hair on their head forms into a “halo” to attract mate too.

l       Population is 4 million pairs.
