Global Warming

Global warming is when the earth heats up and temperature rises. It harms many people, plants, and animals. It is caused by “greenhouse effect”.

GREENHOUSE EFFECT

Greenhouse effect is when the sun’s heat and rays gets trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere.
  Greenhouse effect is just like when a car is outside in the sun on a really hot and sunny day, the rays get into the car but it can’t get out.  Same with the Earth, the sun rays gets trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere and it can’t get out.

IS GLOBAL WARMING DAMAGING THE EARTH?

Yes, global warming IS damaging the Earth, but who caused that? Us! Humans, of course.  The human beings are using gas, and factories that make smoke, the smoke breaks the Earth’s atmosphere, and then more sunrays get in.

THINGS WE CAN DO ABOUT IT

It’s not that if global warming can’t be fixed.  We can make the Earth a better place by recycling, not using much electricity, not cutting trees, washing the dishes by hand not dishwasher, etc.

ANIMALS AND PLACES IN DANGER BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING

The most popular 2 species are the penguins and polar bears.  They are because it’s getting hotter and the ice in the North and South Pole are melting and more and more polar bears and penguins are drowning.  Antarctica is one of the places that are almost disappearing and the North Pole too.  Islands like one in Oceania, in 40 years is going underwater.
