The Land of Adventure

~Written in 1st grade

     One summer afternoon, me and my family were playing in the extraordinary, sunny, Caribbean beach.  The sea was so, so, so blue that it looked like there was no sky.

    Then, I took my sand set out and started digging - then suddenly the ground began to shake… It was like an earthquake!!  The hot sun grew hotter and hotter - then HOTTER!!

    Then it was absolutely still, very still, I looked around – I saw a fairy. 
 It had wings, the wings were just like the Caribbean beach, it sparkled – it was fabulous!!!  But it was dark, then suddenly… WHOOSH!!  A spectacular rainbow colored stairs appeared in front of me, it glittered like sunshine.  I climbed the rainbow colored stairs and entered an enchanted forest…

Then, something frightening happened!!  A big, gigantic monster leaped out of a bush. The monster was very, very, VERY, ugly.  Unfortunately, a tremendous storm came and lightning and thunder went over the sky!  I closed my eyes and screamed!!

Then suddenly, it was all dark and silent, I opened my eyes… Hey?  Why am I on my bed?
