Punta Arenas

   
    Guess what? I just saw a bunch of Magallanic Penguins out there!! In fact, UP CLOSE!!! This is how it started, it is January 27, 2010, I went to Punta Arenas!!  It is this cool place that is in Chile. Or better said COLD place in Chile.
I went to this tour called Otway Sound and we had to go on a bus and me and my friend sat in a awesome seat that you could see the driver.

We went to a place where they have a huge colony of  Magallanic penguins and they were so short and plump and so cute.  They had this ring around their neck that looked like a soft necklace made out of fur and they barely even make noise.  Only the tourists were, including me and my friend.  Their home is in some bushes or hollow tree trunks that were fallen.

   My friend’s mom saw a little brown field mouse that poked his tiny brown head with the ears so velvety out from his “hideout” and ran out, pulled a flower and dashed back like a brown strike of lightning to his place. It was so cute!!!

    After all that fantastic stuff, we took bus ride back.  When we went to get on our awesome seat, two women were sitting there.  So we had to sit in a boring seat right in the middle.  After, we got on this mini boat called a tender and went back to the cruise because it was really far away from the port.  I think Punta Arenas is really interesting.  If you get a chance to go there, make sure to check out those cute little MAGALLANIC PENGUINS!!!!
